How do I start at PROS Clinic?

Individuals are welcome to walk-in to the PROS Clinic anytime between 8 am and 4 pm. Individuals can also call 315-363-2451 to schedule an appointment at their convenience.

How can I get there?

Transportation is available free of charge for individuals in the city of Oneida and the immediate surrounding area. If PROS Clinic is not able to transport, Medicaid transport can be set up. If a person does not have Medicaid, other arrangements can be made.

Large groups makes me nervous, how many people are in the classes?

Each class has 8 - 12 participants and one instructor. The spacious classrooms at the PROS clinic are furnished with desks and comfortable chairs for all participants. Between classes, individuals have 15 minute breaks to use the restroom, have a snack in the dining area or use the recreation room equipped with a pool table and ping pong table. Individuals are encouraged to stay in class when in session, however if the individual absolutely must leave class they are allowed to do so.

How often do I have to attend classes?

The Treatment Team works with each individual to develop a personalized recovery plan. Everyone's recovery plan is different, therefore the recommended days of attendance will vary from person to person. Generally for individuals to benefit from the services offered we recommend a minimum attendance of 2 full days (9 am to 1:30 pm) of classes. Each individuals class schedule is personalized based on their recovery needs, employment, and any other barriers.

When can I start receiving medications?

When an individual is admitted to the program, the individuals medications needs will be evaluated by the PROS Treatment Team and an appointment will be scheduled with the Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner as soon as 1-5 days following admission to the Clinic.

What if I am currently using Drugs or Alcohol?

The PROS clinic is here to support individuals with their journey to recovery. No one is refused services at PROS Clinic based on their current or past use. HOWEVER if an individual presents to the PROS Clinic and is clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol they will be offered assistance to access medical attention or transportation home by cab. This is to maintain safety of the individual and the individuals at the PROS Clinic.
